When the sun sets in Cape Town

Kulula transported us down to Cape Town on Wednesday.  Our airport visit was not without incident... our group ended up on two separate planes, but only after entertaining a few luggage handlers with a coordinated dance around our suitcases.  Not making sense?  Ha -  and you thought we were telling you everything through this blog.  You don't know the half of it!  It will all make sense once you see our vacation video.

(No pressure, Shelby)
At the airport - so long, Jo'burg!
I spy with my little eye... something starting with "m" and rhyming with fountain!
After a relaxed morning we took an afternoon flight that landed in time for us to hit a west-facing beach for sundowners.  Our kind hosts had already packed two picnic baskets of goodies for the beach - one full of snacks and treats and the other full of bubbly.
Home, sweet vacation home
We were thrilled that moody clouds filled the sky to the east, adding to the atmosphere while still leaving the west clear enough for a gorgeous sunset.

We all enjoyed the company of my parents' good friends, Thomas and Anja

I was standing in as videographer since poor Shelby ended up on a later flight

Unfortunately a slip on the rocks meant the end of one of Damon's lenses.  Contributions to the replacement fund can be sent via check or money order.

Just kidding!
