| Meat! Lots and lots of meat over hot coals - it smelled delicious in here! |
You’ll never guess what we had for dinner after our visit to Bethel…
If you said meat, well, you’re right. But, not just any meat. This particular restaurant specializes in
exotic African meats as well as good ol’ beef, lamb, pork and ribs. We had the opportunity to try crocodile,
kudu,
impala and zebra.
The evening started with a bang – we were visited by a "medicine man" offering us a traditional muti – a very delicious vodka drink
muddled with lemons and… actually, we’re not going to tell what else. It was so yummy and you’ll have to visit one
of us to try it for yourself. Hey, it’s
visit us or visit South Africa so we think it’s a pretty good deal.

Thanks to the decor, cuisine and staff, this was a great first dinner in South Africa for our American friends and everyone was at least a little adventurous. Success!

| What a gorgeous group of diners |
One of our servers decided Simone was a perfect candidate to try on his gear and she was a good sport about it - jetlag and all. Not sure Allyse wants that crocodile though...
 |
| Simone serving crocodile! |
 |
| The meat wasn't the only food worth mentioning - the sauces and salads were delish too |
 |
| Yum yum yummy! |
 |
| All of us holding the "I ate croc at Carnivore" sign |
 |
| Beautiful people |
 |
| We couldn't leave until Allyse tried on this throne for size |

Check out his website www.nomadphotographyonline.com or his facebook page. Very talented in my completely biased opinion :)
