I'm spoiling you this Friday with a whole bunch of Madam & Eve strips. In case you've noticed references to the minibus taxis in South Africa (in the maths homework comic on Monday as well as in one of the strips below), this is because - among other things - they're notorious for far exceeding the legal capacity in number of passengers. In fact it goes beyond belief sometimes. The most I've heard of reported in the news was 48 school children, complete with backpacks and school books (now you really understand Thandi's response to the maths question!). In addition to this the vehicles are often poorly maintained and the drivers are reckless. Quite a dangerous combination.
