Roadtrip

A long straight road between Namibia and South Africa
The western side of Southern Africa is largely desert, owing to the climate caused by the cold currents of the Atlantic Ocean passing by on that side of the country.  And in a desert there's no reason to pave anything other than a long, straight road.

When I look at this photo, I can almost feel the relief of climbing into a cool, air conditioned car.  Followed shortly by nodding off to sleep as mile after identical mile passes by.
